New full time job. Landscape based on my photo reference dated May 24, 2024. It's a beautiful date. ? although the reference didn't capture all the beauty. The camera's sensor still has its limits. The color features in that sunset are still in my memory. I went to the bay unplanned, I really wanted to see something beautiful. And I was right. The water had receded a lot. It turned out to be located right inside the shoreline on the spit. Then I wrote a plein air work from one angle and took a lot of photos for future work. ? The future has arrived. I don't know how the shoreline is feeling this year. Haven't seen it yet, but I think sunsets and sunrises are always beautiful. ?

PS I tried a new cardboard from Sennelier pastelcard mixed media, you can work on it starting from wet underpainting. But here's the trouble, it doesn't hold the layers at all. Ready to work only with sennelier pastels, everything else quickly clogs the texture and poorly mixed, crumbles. Had high hopes for this cardboard, the densest, except for the new products from Pastelmat, but they are not yet to be found. Good with this density and store work and design. Anyway, sad, sad, sad. I will try to work really in the technique of mixed media, set acrylic background and add details with pastels, followed by fixation with varnish. Maybe this way I will get the effect of depth that I need, without dancing and agony. The second work on this cardboard, the first was a fantasy from the previous publication. Maybe on the 3rd sheet I'll finally understand what to do with it
